  1. good list. I have used 4 out of the 10 over my career. The problem I have had at a few of my employers is that these systems are a bit too technical for non-tech staff. At my current employer most of our staff do not have a software background and mantis was a bit too confusing for them. We ended up making our own bug tracker, which was designed to be as simple as possible to use... but it certainly isn’t as feature packed as some of the products on your list. Folks here have been pretty happy with it though :)

  6. If you are looking for a free hosted bug tracker, you should definitely try Damn Bugs. The interface is very clean without too many features, just the ones you need to manage your testing process efficiently. Damn Bugs includes team members invitations, tasks assignation and a comments system. It proposes a bug reporting template that forces best practices with standardized bug reports. I am sure you’ll love it!
